Blake T Boehm

Professional experience

Blake Boehm has over eight years of experience coaching collegiate lacrosse in the Grand Rapids area. He is entering his ninth season as the Head Coach of the Calvin College Women’s Lacrosse Team.

In 2015, Boehm led Calvin to its first-ever MIAA regular season championship as the Knights posted an 8-0 league record. Calvin's 2015 team had six All-MIAA selections including three on the All-MIAA first team.

In its second season as a NCAA DIII varsity program, Boehm led the Knights to a 6-2 conference record (finishing 3rd within the MIAA), and an overall record of 10-6. Calvin's 2014 team had 5 players receive All-Conference honors.

Boehm began his coaching career in the fall of 2007 as the Head Coach of the Women’s Club Lacrosse team at Calvin College. In his first year, he led the knights to an undefeated (11-0) season and their first ever Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse League (WCLL) conference title. In his five seasons with the club team, Boehm posted a career record of 39-21.

In 2007, Boehm co-founded the Woodland Sports Lacrosse Program in Grand Rapids, Michigan. A program that offers off-season youth lacrosse leagues in the Grand Rapids area.

Boehm graduated from Calvin College in 2006 where he was a face-off midfielder and a two-year captain on the men's club team. During his four seasons, the Knights went 75-2, captured four Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association (CCLA) Championships, and made two Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) National Tournament appearances. During his senior season, Boehm earned All-Conference accolades.

Boehm holds a Bachelor's of Arts in Exercise Science & Physical Education from Calvin College. In addition to coaching at Calvin, Blake is a Realtor with Greenridge Realty in Grand Rapids, MI. He and his wife, Corey, have been married three years and live in Grand Rapids.
